Longwan site Exhibition Park

National "Eleventh Five Year Plan" site protection project. It is located in Longwan of Qianjiang River, only 8 kilometers away from the "entrance of Houhu" of Yichang Huangshi expressway. It is one of the earliest Chu cultural sites of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty discovered in China. A large number of cultural relics have been unearthed at the base site of fangyingtai No.1, which is of great value in the archaeology of Chu culture. In 2000, it was listed as one of the "ten new archaeological discoveries in China".

Covering an area of 56.8 hectares, the park will be completed in five years during the Eleventh Five Year Plan period. Longwan site exhibition park will focus on the renovation and restoration of some building sites and ancient rivers on the basis of archaeological excavation research and related discipline research, taking Chu cultural relics as the main line, so as to show the historical features of Chu royal palace and make it a Chu cultural protection and exhibition park integrating science, history, culture and tourism. In the cultural relics protection area and its surrounding areas, we should implement the unified planning of houses, water, fields, forests and roads, coordinate the development of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, sideline and fishery, combine the protection of cultural relics with the construction of small rural towns and the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure, and combine the development of ecological agriculture and efficient agriculture with the creation of pastoral scenery and the development of characteristic tourism. In order to achieve the protection and utilization of Longwan site and local economic development, mutual coordination, mutual promotion, and create prosperity.
