Laolongtan scenic spot is located in the main peak of Yaogu mountain in the southeast of Longyuan scenic spot, with an altitude of 1261 meters. The scenic area covers an area of more than 4000 mu, including laolongtan, Yuanyang Lake, Xiangu medicine washing lake, etc.

The mountains here are majestic and steep, with thousands of hills and valleys, waterfalls and flowing springs, and many scenic spots.

Main attractions

The "Seven Star Galaxy" waterfall group composed of laolongtan, yuanyangtan, Xiangu Xiyao lake and Guanyin lake is the most amazing. The 30 meter long golden Horned Dragon is lifelike in the waterfall, the mandarin ducks in the pool are playing in the water, the goddess of mercy sits in the lotus, and the fairy goddess washes the medicine. It seems that you will be sent to the heaven palace when you go up to the peak "three immortals Pavilion" by a thousand steps. In the north of Sanxian Pavilion, you can see the scenery of Chu, baling in Antarctica, rolling Yangtze River, green wave Dongting, sunrise and sea of clouds. It's like being in Penglai fairyland. Laolongtan waterfall

Laolongtan waterfall is 12 meters high, with a pool of about 170 square meters under the waterfall and more than 5 meters deep. It presents an oval shape. The pool wall is as sharp as a chip. The impact of the flying current is deafening and magnificent. Most visitors take photos here.

It is said that there is an evil dragon in the pool, and the people suffer greatly. Fan Lihua subdues the evil dragon and builds a dragon temple to ensure the safety of the people. Later generations often pray for rain and incense in front of the temple. The Dragon Temple is composed of seven excavated granite slabs with exquisite workmanship and beautiful patterns. It is proved to be a product of the Tang Dynasty.
