Development history

China Bamboo Museum is a part of Anji bamboo garden, a national AAAA tourist spot. Anji County, where the bamboo garden is located, is famous for its bamboo township, white tea Township and Changshuo culture township.

The Bamboo Museum of China was built and opened in November 1996. The content of the whole museum is complete and the structure is reasonable. Many international celebrities and national leaders came here to visit, inspect and guide, such as Li Peng, Qiao Gu, Wu Bangguo, Zou Jiahua, etc., and gave the museum high praise. It can be said that the Bamboo Museum of China is the concentration of 6000 years of bamboo culture and the palace of bamboo world.

In September 2012, after nearly four months of renovation and upgrading, the China Bamboo Museum in Anji bamboo Expo Park officially opened to the public with a new look. The appearance of the museum is covered with a layer of yellow "coat", and a green "bamboo" character is carved high above the gate. Throughout the two sides of the new museum, there are additional small and large bonsai, fountains and other leisure pieces. Two powerful lion statues stand on both sides of the gate. The new museum is extremely grand and stable.

In the middle of the hall is the "big bamboo king" of Dendrocalamus yunnanensis, also known as the crooked foot Dendrocalamus, which is the largest and most magnificent bamboo species in the world. There are more than 30 Dendrocalamus yunnanensis in the hall. The height of Dendrocalamus yunnanensis pole is 20-30 meters, the diameter is 20-30 cm, and the wall thickness of the base of the bamboo pole can reach more than 5 cm. It is purchased from mengma, Menglian County, Simao Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The seven exhibition halls are arranged in order of subject history, resources, cultivation and utilization, arts and crafts, literature and art, international exhibitions, academic reports, etc. the museum is also equipped with reference rooms, specimen rooms, etc. The first exhibition hall introduces the history and resources of bamboo; the second exhibition hall introduces the cultivation and utilization of bamboo; the third exhibition hall introduces the literature and art of bamboo; the fourth exhibition hall displays bamboo crafts from all over the country; the fifth Exhibition Hall presents crafts for international friends; the other two exhibition halls are not open yet.

The China Bamboo Museum is located in the northeast of the bamboo Expo Park, Dipu Town, Anji County. It is 6 km away from Dipu town. Drive out of Dipu town to the southwest, drive 5 km through provincial highway 04, turn right and enter the scenic area. The road is 1 km away, with convenient transportation.
