Old house in Wangwu village, Shatin

The old house at Wong Uk village, also known as "the old house at Wong Uk village", is located in the old Wong Uk village in the southeast of Yuen Chau Kok, Shatin District, New Territories, Hong Kong. Wong Uk village was founded by a couple surnamed Wang from Xingning, Guangdong Province during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty more than 200 years ago. The existing houses were built in 1911 by Wang Qing, the 19th generation of Wang family. In 1984, the Hong Kong government took over the royal family house and built the royal family garden nearby. On December 22, 1989, the royal family house was listed as a statutory historic site in Hong Kong.
