Chiayi Jiaozhi Pottery Museum

Jiaozhi pottery museum is located in the basement of Jiayi cultural center, Zhongxiao Road, Jiayi city. It was officially opened on May 13, 1989. Jiaozhi pottery originated from the green glaze of the Han Dynasty. Influenced by the export trade pottery of the Qing Dynasty and the prevalence of low-temperature glaze, it has a far-reaching influence. From the early single color, three color and five color to today's colorful Jiaozhi pottery. Because most of today's Jiaozhi pottery artists are studying in Jiayi, Jiayi is known as the hometown of Jiaozhi pottery, and the first Jiaozhi pottery art festival was held in 1986.

Children's creation area - displays children's creation achievements; xiaojiaozi pottery house - is a computer-aided multimedia room set up by five imitation kilns, which enables children to understand Jiaozhi pottery with the help of computer; Jiaozhi pottery museum also has a painted glaze poetry screen area of Jiayi poet Chen jianhun's poems for Jiaozhi pottery; and 20 contemporary Jiaozhi potters are invited to inherit the spirit of Jiaozhi pottery museum, Using works of different schools to set up "douqiang" so that people can appreciate different styles of works.

Zhitao school

Jiaozhi pottery belongs to low temperature polychrome pottery, which is called "Chiayi Shao" in Japan, and Jiaozhi pottery is called "Jiaozhi", "jiaozhizai" and "jiaozhizai" in Taiwan. Jiao Tai pottery can be divided into two major systems, namely, Ye Wang (Ye Linzhi) of the gemstone glaze and the KORUN system of the watercolor glaze. The leaf king of the Yuli Zi Lin is known as the Luo Luo cat (now known as the Min Xiong township of Chiayi county). It is the Taiwan Jiao Jiao Tao Kaishan Ji Shu. It is also the first coddling pottery teacher who was born in Taiwan, who had presided over the renovation of Chiayi Town God's Temple, and the Hsinchu Zhengjia temple was ranked three. This is his work.

Production process

The process of Jiaozhi pottery can be divided into the selection of soil and practice soil, forming, hollowing out, drying in the shade, plain firing, glaze making, glazing and glaze firing. The glaze is based on the traditional formula, and develops a set of raw materials processed by the ancestors' intelligence and modern science and technology, which makes the glaze more stable and presents a crystal clear texture.
