Nanling tower

Ling tower is located at the last side of Nansha Tin Hau palace. It is built in memory of Lin Mo, goddess of the sea. It is 45 meters high and has 8 floors. The reason why it is 8-storey (even number) is different from the odd number of other towers is that there is an unwritten rule in Folklore: the code of male immortals is odd and that of female immortals is even. Therefore, the number of the steps, corrugations and couplets (the first or the second couplet) is even in the palace.
