Dongpu hot spring is located in Dongpu village, Xinyi Township, Nantou County, Central Taiwan. The hot spring is located at the junction of Weiling of Yushan north peak and Wangxiang mountain. It is distributed along Dongpu River Valley and belongs to metamorphic rock area of Xueshan mountain belt according to geological classification. At an altitude of about 1200 meters, it is a famous hot spring resort in China. It is also a green mountain forest for flower appreciation, summer vacation and outing. Adjacent to Yushan National Park, it is one of the paths to climb Yushan. Dongpu hot spring has two main dew points, water temperature is 49 ℃ and 66 ℃, pH value is about 7.5, bicarbonate ion is about 193ppm, sodium ion is about 179ppm, belonging to neutral sodium bicarbonate spring. Winter is higher, summer is lower, hot springs come out from the valley, and naturally emerge from the rock seam and stone layer, showing the scene of hot gas boiling; due to the moderate temperature, it is not necessary to use mountain spring water to dilute, which is a rare original juice hot spring; Dongpu hot spring is transparent and drinkable, which is said to be safe for all kinds of trauma, muscle and bone trauma, rheumatism, acute and chronic eczema, neurasthenia, poliomyelitis and women Dongpu hot spring is a popular summer resort.

history

Laiyuan Dongpu hot spring was seriously damaged in the 921 earthquake, and then rebuilt in 2002 to add more optically active hot spring halls and facilities.

Dongpu hot spring was discovered very early. During the Japanese occupation period, there was a hot spring bath, which was taken over by the police and opened to the public after its recovery. Dongpu hot spring, located on the side of Yushan landscape road, is the only place to pass the ancient Batongguan road. Nearby, there are also famous rainbow waterfall, lover's Valley, and other scenic spots on the ancient Batongguan Road, such as fuwuzi cliff, Yunlong waterfall and Yinv waterfall It's worth a visit.
