Lingque temple, fully known as lingque Xingsheng temple, is located in Xianshui Town, Daofu County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is a Gelug Temple of Tibetan Buddhism. It is one of the 13 yellow religion temples in Kangxi district. It was founded in 1662, the first year of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty. It has a history of more than 300 years and is a provincial cultural relic protection unit.

history

Lingque temple was founded in 1662, the first year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. It is one of the thirteen hol temples with a history of more than 300 years. It is said that in ancient times, there was a big lake in the county seat, named Nico, which means fish sea. Lingque is a Tibetan transliteration of Nico.

The temple has a trapezoidal layout with mountains on its back and water on its surface. The back hall of the main hall of lingque temple is a "biankong" composed of 21 11 meter high pillars. In the middle of the hall is a ten meter high jizibianba Buddha. On both sides are three disciples, adixia and zongkaba. Next to the middle hall of the main hall is biankong. All of them are covered with Tibetan carpets, which can hold 2000 lamas chanting sutras. There are two meters high statues of zongkaba Buddha in the middle of the frame and twelve other statues on both sides. There are hundreds of Tibetan scriptures such as ganzhur and danzhur on the shelf. The hall is painted and carved in Tibetan style, including auspicious eight treasures, holy monk pictures, various thangkas, etc. the hall is resplendent in gold and jade, the Buddha statues are resplendent in pearls, and there are more than 1000 pieces of gold, silver and bronze Buddhist vessels. The big and small butter lamp never goes out.

The butter colored sculptures and butter flowers in lingque temple are very famous. They are not only based on the Buddhist stories of Sakyamuni Buddha's life and the deeds of zongkaba and other ancestors, but also interspersed with the Buddhist stories of "Tang Monk's learning scriptures". They are famous for their unique modeling and exquisite sculpture skills in the whole Tibetan area, and are known as "the best in Kangqu".

On the 15th day of the first month, a large colored shed was set up on the square of lingque temple, in which large-scale butter sculptures were displayed. The square of the temple is full of Tibetans from all over the world. They ride horses or walk, come far or near, enjoy these beautiful butter flowers with great interest, and take part in the grand Buddhist activities devoutly. At night, tens of thousands of butter lamps are in full bloom, illuminating the butter colored sculptures around, and the butter flower will enter the climax. The Jiangke Dafa Association and the anque Dafa association are held on September 22 and October 21 each year respectively. Both of them last for several days and are very grand.
