Datang Gorge Scenic Spot

Located 7.5km northwest of Guiping City, Dateng Gorge Scenic Spot is famous for its fantastic landscape, beautiful scenery and unique landscape.

Datang gorge is located in the lower reaches of Qianjiang River about 8 km northwest of Guiping city. It is the largest and longest gorge in Guangxi.

Introduction

It is said that in ancient times, there was a big rattan like a bucket, crossing the river, sinking in the day and floating in the night, for people to climb across the river, so it got its name. In the gorge, there are twists and turns in the river, rapids, dangerous rocks, dangerous beaches, reefs, huge waves, rough water and thunderous waves. Because of the high and dangerous gorge, it has become a must for military strategists. It was here that the famous Yao uprising broke out. From the beginning of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty

From 1375 A.D. to the reign of Tianqi, the Ming Dynasty suppressed the Yao people's uprising for more than 200 years. It was changed to Duanteng gorge and then Yongtong gorge. On the cliff, there is an inscription of Ming Dynasty "chici Yongtong gorge". Xu Xiake, a traveler in the Ming Dynasty, once set sail in the great tengxia gorge and wrote about his travels. In the spring of 1974, Comrade Mao Zedong, who was very proficient in the history of Chinese peasant uprising, inquired about the situation of Datang gorge and wrote down the word "Datang gorge" in his own handwriting.

Features of scenic spots

There are three scenic spots with different characteristics in the area

Yusi cave

——It originates from Yuntai Mountain in Gaotang village of Nanmu town and flows into Qianjiang River through Lanzi River, with a total length of 3.5 km. It is made of mountain streams and flows down the impacted stone trough. There are rare animals and plants under national protection. Among them, tree ferns are known as living fossil plants of the same age as dinosaurs. The scenery includes magpie bridge, lover's stone, thousand year old turtle pool, Feilong waterfall and Shuangshi Huilong waterfall. Yusidong waterfall, which is more than 60 meters high, has the potential of "flying down 3000 feet, it is suspected that the Milky way is falling nine days".

Jinyintan

——Located in the middle of huoyanchong stream, the water potential flows from southeast to North into Qianjiang River. Here, the mountains are high and dense, the waterfalls are distributed along the way, the falls are different, and there are countless pools. The spring water flows along the Qianjiang River through nine bends and twelve bends. There are liuliantan, Xiangshuitan, Longmen waterfall, Jintan waterfall and Yintan tengying. There are many kinds of plants, among which are flowers and wild fruits. On the way, there are luxuriant forests and bamboos, and the scenery is deep.

Tongguchong

——Originating in the northwest of the city, jiulingtou, mengxu, flows into Qianjiang River from the southeast to the northwest, with a total length of 5.1 km. Here is a typical Canyon peak forest features, 18 Bay 18 Tan, Qingxi waterfall, Yuantan green evergreen, line bottom Fangshi gorgeous, stone peak Qi Qi, wood towering, banana short, mountain vines. There are Tonggu Biying, Feibao drumming, yaochi Linggui, Tianxi suwu, Tianpu Hongyun, Tianwan Fangpai, etc. Tongguchong is said to be the bronze drum of Hou Dagou, an ancient Yao people. It was turned into stone and got its name from the stone like bronze drum.
