Dalingyin Temple
Located on Dabei mountain of Wulong Township in the east of Sijiao Island, it is a Buddhist resort of Shengsi, connecting the peaks in the West and the sea in the East. It was built in the same period of Qing Dynasty. Lingyin Temple is built on a mountain with three rooms in the north and south, covering a total area of more than 400 square meters. The main hall is called the Mahavira hall. The main Buddha, the Tathagata Buddha, sits on the wall and is as high as 1 Zhang. Behind the wall is the thousand handed Avalokitesvara, as well as the Tianwang hall and the Luohan hall. During the Buddhist period, villagers from all the islands of the county come together to burn incense and worship Buddha for several Arhats, which is quite lively. The view of the top of the mountain is very good. It forms an isosceles triangle with the two beaches of Jihu and nanchangtu. It is the best point to enjoy the scenery of thousand islands on the sea and sister beaches.
