As a national historical and cultural city, Ganzhou needs to launch a number of landmark sculptures with far-reaching ideas, profound cultural heritage and time-honored experience. In recent years, with the rapid development of Ganzhou's economy, especially with the rapid expansion of Ganzhou's urban area, the number of urban nodes is increasing. By using these urban nodes to place urban sculptures, Ganzhou's history and culture can be displayed, the new and old urban areas can be integrated, and the pace of Ganzhou to a mega city can be accelerated.

"Ganzhou has a beautiful ecological environment. In the south, there are peaks starting from the Nanling Mountains, in the northwest, there are Sanyang mountains originating from the Luoxiao mountains, and in the East, there are Chu mountains originating from the Wuyi Mountains. All the three mountains in Southeast China gather in Ganzhou. The mountains are undulating, just like a gathering of dragons. There are three rivers around the city, namely, Zhangjiang, Gongjiang and Ganjiang. " Han Zhenfei said, "the ancients believed that every river had a dragon king as its manager, and there were just ten rivers in the upper reaches of Ganjiang River, which originated from Zhangjiang in Dayu, Youjiang in Shangyou, Taojiang in Longnan Xinfeng, Pingjiang in Xingguo, Gongjiang in Yudu, Meijiang in Ningdu, Qinjiang in Shicheng, Lianjiang in Anyuan, Xiangjiang in Huichang and Mianjiang in Ruijin. These ten rivers, without abandoning the trickle, are all converging under Ganzhou City and converging into Ganjiang River. Therefore, the shape of Ganzhou City has long been called "ten dragons gathering turtles".
