The former site of Tianqing temple is located in dongxiaoshi street, Chongwen District. It is adjacent to the South Yao Wang Temple in the East and is the shuitai Temple of Liao Dynasty. During the reconstruction from the Yuan Dynasty to the ninth year of the Yuan Dynasty (1272), it was found that a disused clock was engraved with the word "Tianqing", which was proved to be the year of the Liao Dynasty, so it was named "Tianqing".
