Tianjin water saving science and Technology Museum is located in Xiqing District of Tianjin city, 8 kilometers away from the municipal government, with convenient transportation and beautiful environment. With an exhibition area of 1680 square meters, the exhibition hall is the largest and most abundant modern water-saving science and Technology Museum in China, which integrates publicity and education. It is composed of the preface hall and four interrelated exhibition areas, with a total of more than 200 groups of exhibition items. Basic information

Tianjin is a resource-based city with water shortage, and the main urban water diversion is from the Yangtze River, Luanhe River and the Yellow River. The contradiction of "dependence, singleness and fragility" of urban water supply is prominent, and the situation of regional water resources shortage is very serious. The problem of water resources shortage has become the most urgent, direct and main resource constraint faced by Tianjin's economic and social sustainable development. Tianjin municipal Party committee and government attach great importance to the development, utilization, conservation and protection of water resources, and always regard water saving as a long-term strategic measure throughout the whole process of economic and social development. In order to improve the utilization efficiency of water resources and enhance the awareness of all sectors of society to cherish and care for water resources, Tianjin Water Conservancy Science and Technology Museum was built in March 2010 by Tianjin Water Affairs Bureau as a window and base to carry out water regime education, popularize water-saving knowledge, promote water-saving technology, and spread the concept of scientific and civilized water use. It has been named as "Tianjin science popularization education base", "national science popularization education base", "national primary and secondary school water saving education social practice base", "Tianjin civilized unit", "Tianjin Water Bureau Youth Civilization" and "national water regime education base".

Tianjin water saving science and Technology Museum has developed a water regime education mode in line with its own characteristics. Relying on the resources of the exhibition hall, it has carried out water regime education through popular science exhibitions, large-scale activities, popular science lectures, etc., which effectively spread water-saving knowledge and greatly enhanced the public's awareness of scientific and civilized water use.
