Leitan

Leitan is a national AAAA scenic spot, located in the south of Liuzhou city.

Leitan scenic spot is only three kilometers away from the city center, with a planning area of about 544 hectares. It is a large-scale scenic spot integrating karst natural landscape, ethnic customs and culture in southern China, and subtropical karst plant landscape.

Dalongtan park is surrounded by green trees and mountains, forming its own barrier. There are 24 peaks in different shapes, such as Wohu mountain, Meimei peak and peacock mountain, which stand around one lake (Jinghu Lake) and two pools (Longtan, Dalongtan). Under the cliff of Leishan mountain, a clear spring gushes out to form a "Longtan" between Leishan and Longshan, which was called "leitang" in ancient times. The "Leitan" nearby flows through the underground river, and the clear water flows into the mirror through the "Balong snow spray dam". After brewing, it winds like a dragon. It passes through the garden and flows into the karst cave at the foot of Lianhua Mountain outside the garden, and disappears without a trace. Leilong Ertan water has a constant temperature (18-22 ℃) all the year round. In the middle of winter, the water vapor is transpiration and the smoke is around, so it is called "Shuangtan misty rain". Thunder and dragon mountains face each other with water. It is said that the two gods of thunder and dragon are in charge of thunderstorm here, and they are called "dragon thunder Wonderland" in the world. Liu Zongyuan, a famous litterateur and governor of Liuzhou in the Tang Dynasty, once prayed for rain for the people. He wrote "praying for rain in leitang" and handed it down. Now there are memorial buildings such as "praying for rain stele Pavilion", "sacrificial platform" and "leitang Temple". In addition, there are also some places of interest, such as the right servant of the Ministry of war in the Ming Dynasty, Zhang (Yuzhong) Diaoyutai, one of the eight sages in Liuzhou, the side hill building of Luo Zhiding, a famous scholar in the Ming Dynasty, and the ancient human site of liyuzui Yanxia in Longshan.
