Pangu king temple, also known as Pangu altar, is located in the scenic spot of Pangu Huang park at the foot of Pangu Huang mountain in Zhenxing village, Shiling Town, Huadu District, Guangzhou. The temple was first built in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, and then burned many times. It was not until the 24th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu that it was rebuilt with private funds.

Features of the building this is a classical art building, there are 12 stone columns, 4 kunxun wooden columns, a total of 16 columns, four vertical and four horizontal, the plane is divided into nine grid, representing the nine heaven. The most peculiar thing is that in addition to the central Panlong stone column, there are seven pairs of couplets in calligraphy, which are full of descriptions and praises of the great achievements of King Pangu. Pangu king, a mythical figure, was created by the ancient working people in the form of folk stories. It is a typical example of the working people fighting against heaven and earth and creating the world. This is also the reason why Pangu king was worshipped by the working people.

In 1985, the folk raised funds to repair the ancient temple again, replacing the old dilapidated tiles with yellow glazed tiles. The glazed products on the roof, the stone pillars of Panlong, the stone lions in front of the door, and the Lingpai of Pangu are still original objects, all of which have high cultural and artistic value. In the middle of the temple, the statue of King Pangu is naked on the upper body, with leaves hanging on the lower body and a hatchet in hand. It is a bronze statue donated by Professor Cao chongsi of Guangzhou Academy of fine arts. It is created according to the image of Pangu recorded in ancient books, with a high artistic level. The incense here has always been very popular, especially on the 12th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar. On September 9, on the Double Ninth Festival, there was an endless stream of people climbing Mount Pangu.
