Gaoyi's tomb and stone carvings are well preserved among the existing stone carvings in Sichuan. The body of the que is built with five layers of stones. The distance between the East and West que is 13 meters. The inscription of the East que says: "in the Han Dynasty, the imperial governor of Yizhou, Wu Yin Ling, Shangji, Shiju, Xiaolian, zhubu, engaged in Guanfang of gaojun". The inscription of the West que is: "in the Han Dynasty, the imperial governor of Yizhou, Yinping, Duwei, Wu Yang Ling, Beifu, Chengju, Xiaolian, gaojun, Guanguang".

historical origin

Gaoyi's tomb and stone carvings are located at Yaoqiao, 7 km east of Ya'an City, Sichuan Province. It is the site of Ya'an hanque Museum. It was built in 209, the 14th year of Jian'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is the tomb of Gaoyi, the governor of Yizhou in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and his younger brother Gaoshi.

In 1961, the State Council of the people's Republic of China announced that it was the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units. The Gaoyi tomb and stone carvings are the most complete and exquisite among the existing stone carvings in Sichuan.

Gaoyi's tomb is divided into the East and the west, with a distance of 13.6 meters. Between the two, there are gaojun's song stele, structural drawing and giant stone to ward off evil spirits.

At present, the upper part of the Dougong layer of the main Que and the zique of the dongque are destroyed. The main que is about 6 meters high and the zique is 3.39 meters high. It is a double eaves and five ridge wooden structure building, which is made of many red quartz sandstone. The top floor is surrounded by scenes of noble life, such as nobles' traveling, cars' galloping, banquets and entertainment, and historical stories such as Zhang liangzhui's Emperor Qin, Gao Zu's snake cutting, Ji GUI's sword hanging, and Shi Kuang's Guqin. The middle floor is carved with Nine Tailed Fox, three legged horse, dragon tiger, rosefinch, etc.

Gaoyi's tomb and stone carvings are precious cultural relics for studying the architectural art, plastic arts and earthquake history of Han Dynasty.
