Ningxiang guild hall, also known as bayuantang and bayintang, is located in the ancient town health Street. In the 11th year of Xianfeng (1861 AD), it was donated and built by eight ports in Ningyi, which served as the office for the dock workers in Ningxiang at that time. The guild hall is a rare specimen of the architectural art of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has a wooden stage with an area of more than 20 square meters. In front of the stage is an open-air hall, which can accommodate hundreds of people.
Ningxiang guild hall has made outstanding contributions to the development of folk drama art in Jinggang in the past. In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, Yi Yichun, a famous actor of Hunan opera, and Yang fupeng, a famous actor of Hunan opera, had performed on the stage of Ningxiang guild hall.
Today, there is an Old Photo Museum in Ningxiang guild hall, displaying the old photos of each era in Jinggang. The Shengping song and dance performed in the theater reappear the dazzling prosperity of the ancient town in the past.
