Ailian pool

Ailian pool is located in the east of zhouyu point, Xingzi County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. It is close to Bingyu stream in the southeast and 1020 meters away from Poyang Lake in the south.

In 1071 A.D., Zhou Dunyi wrote the famous story of love lotus when he came to Xingzi to serve as the commander of Nankang. Now the Ailian pool is square, surrounded by granite masonry, 48.84 meters long, 34 meters wide, 3 meters deep, with a total area of 1661.24 square meters. In the middle of the pool, there is a facing platform built with granite and five kinds of clay. On the platform, there is a lotus pavilion with square columns and lotus petals on the base. At the top of the pavilion is the top of Xieshan mountain with double eaves. At the front and back of the pavilion, there is a pool bridge connected with the pool, with three piers and four holes. The piers are made of granite. The back bridge is a zigzag curved bridge, with a length of 10.55 meters, a width of 1.23 meters and a height of 2.78 meters. Historical evolution

A year later, due to his old age and infirmity, Zhou Dunyi resigned and settled down in the northwest of Lushan Mountain to give lectures. The flowers of land and water plants are very lovely (f á n). Tao Yuanming of Jin Dynasty loved chrysanthemum alone. Since Li and Tang Dynasties, people have loved peony. To (Y ú) only love lotus (Y ū) silt (Y ū) and do not dye, wash (Zhu ó) clear ripples and do not demon, straight in the outside, not rambling, Xiang Yuan Yi Qing, Ting Ting Jing plant, can be seen from a distance but not blasphemous (Xi è) play Yan.

To say chrysanthemum is the hermit of flowers; peony is the rich of flowers; lotus is the gentleman of flowers. Eh! Tao HouXian has heard of the love of chrysanthemum. Who is the love of lotus to? The love of peony is suitable for all.
