The cultural relic site is a two-story Western-style building with a length of 18.3 meters, a width of 13.1 meters, a height of 9.4 meters, a construction area of 479 square meters, four slope tile roofs, and a height of 2 meters. The style of its subsidiary building is the same as that of the main building, 20.4 meters long and 15.8 meters wide, with a building area of 322 square meters, only one floor and a floor height of 05 meters. Between the main building and the subsidiary building, there is a connecting corridor of 6 meters long and 2.85 meters wide, connecting the two buildings.

history

Founded in 1891, it is the business organization of German businessman Senbao (Jew) in Beihai, specializing in kerosene trade and agent recruitment. After the first World War, the company withdrew and the buildings were sold off. During the period of the Republic of China, the former site served as an office of the salt Inspection Branch of Guangdong and Guangxi. After liberation, it was once used as a cadre sanatorium in Zhanjiang District of Guangdong Province. From 1959 to 1962, it was the site of Beihai fisheries school in Zhanjiang District, Guangdong Province. In 1963, it was handed over to the Cultural Department of Beihai City for use. It was once set up as Beihai Pearl Museum and now serves as the office building of Beihai Cultural Bureau. It is an important material evidence for foreign commercial banks to set up in Beihai, and it is also the only existing site of foreign commercial banks in Beihai.
