Duodeng temple is a lama temple with the full name of "duodeng auspicious gathering island". It is located in waerma Township, ABA County, Sichuan Province, and is known as "minzhuzhaxikelang".

Temple introduction

Duodeng temple is located in waerma Township, ABA County, Sichuan Province. It was built in the sixth year of raomaniunian (1385 A.D.) in Tibetan calendar and was founded by master xiafunimazeng.

The main hall of duodeng temple is supported by 80 pillars. At first, it was used as a gathering place for yoga practitioners and mantras to chant sutras and practice Dharma during festivals and rituals. It was maintained by 12 generations of local masters. In 1666 A.D., the 11th raojiang year of huoma in the Tibetan calendar was managed by "Duo Deng Yong Zhong CI Cheng". With the help and support of the later Tibetan master "Xin Peng CuO Wang Jie", the "xingzang hall" was rebuilt and named "Duo Deng" The wise people believe that "the bright eternal island" established a strict monastic system, which changed the nature of duodeng temple into a regular monastic system with Buddhist monks as the main body, scriptures, commandments and cultivation. After that, they were successively presided over by the lamas of 13 generations.

When the eighth generation presided over "duodengzeerqing" (II) Tze Cheng Dan Bijiang called Rinpoche, he saluted the supreme "xiazazaxijiang called Rinpoche" who achieved great wisdom and Hongshen, and invited him to duodeng temple to teach Da Yuanman and other important inheritance methods, and jointly established a complete ritual of Da Yuanfu, preaching, sitting and quietness, which has continued.
