The main hall outside the shrine
It was originally built in Kaiyuan period of Tang Dynasty. The pavilion was built in 845 of Huichang period of Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in Five Dynasties. It was named "Ruixiang Temple" in 1008 of Dazhong Xiangfu period. It was rebuilt in 1411 of Yongle period of Ming Dynasty and named "Pilu Pavilion". The bridge without beam was built in 1601 of Wanli period. Now the five storey five Ying pavilion was rebuilt in 1893 of Guangxu period.
Introduction
The main hall was overhauled in 1981. Manjusri and Puxian were plasticized, and eighteen Arhats were rebuilt. The main building was changed into five stories and seven couplets. It was built according to the cliff. It rested on the top of the mountain, and the cornice was tilted. It retreated layer by layer into a tower shape. The appearance was magnificent, exquisite and steady.
The plaque of "xiaoyaolou" is written by Yan Zhenqing of Tang Dynasty; the "Daxiong hall" is written by Yu Yue of Qing Dynasty, and the couplet in the hall "Li Zhe's words share the same origin with Western sages, and the phenomenon of Huayan legal world in Nanming" is written by Cai Yuanpei.
