Development history

Museum is a project built by the government to keep pace with the progress and development of society and science and technology. The museum focuses on interaction with visitors. Most of the facilities and exhibits in the museum can be contacted and operated by visitors, such as stamp making, communication equipment of the last century and modern times.

The communication museum under the post office integrates the characteristics of culture, science and technology to construct a museum with rich experimental and interactive characteristics. Our belief is "dare to try, dare to find".

The communication Museum, which opened on March 1, 2006, is a museum that allows visitors to do experiments and study while enjoying entertainment.

Our main objectives:

To serve Macao citizens, especially primary and secondary school students, to promote stamp collecting culture and to promote the popularization of Telecommunications Science and technology

To become a museum for visitors to interact, explore, experiment, satisfy and develop their potential in the field of telecommunications

A museum that promotes stamp collecting technology and stamps to Macao citizens and tourists

There are two exhibition areas in the Museum:

The postal and philatelic exhibition area on the first floor collects the collection and equipment of systems and technologies used in the development of remote communication, and displays the collection of stamps and postal appliances closely related to the history of the post office

The telecommunication exhibition area on the second floor is an extremely interactive area in the museum. In addition to the exhibition of telecommunications equipment connected with the historical development of the post office, a wide range of scientific exhibits with the themes of electromagnetism, static electricity, direct current, alternating current, telegraph, telephone, radio broadcasting, information processing, transmission, analog electronics and digital electronics will be displayed to let visitors understand the development of communication media and technology and cutting-edge technology
