Historical evolution

Shunfeng is named after Ruifeng mountain.

In 1949, Wan'an was liberated and Shunfeng was under the jurisdiction of five districts (Liangkou District).

In 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged.

In 1958, the implementation of the people's commune, renamed Shunfeng people's commune.

In 1968, it was incorporated into Jiantian commune.

In October 1972, the scale of the commune team was adjusted and Shunfeng commune was restored.

In 1984, it was renamed Shunfeng township.

The township government is 73 kilometers away from Wan'an county and 45 kilometers away from Ganzhou City. It covers an area of 43.27 square kilometers.
