Jinchuan is located four kilometers south of Pan'an Town, Gangu County. "From the north to the South" as the center, the prosperous area for the shops, ha to the surrounding spread! The permanent resident population is more than 65000, and the green area is more than 90%. Apple is the main economic source. The highest peak is 1477m above sea level. The main crops are grain, rapeseed, corn, potatoes, and the main specialties are hickory, pine nuts, etc. Jinchuan township is a typical mountainous Township, with high mountains and steep land. Most of the cultivated land is on the slope of 10-30 degrees, and the agricultural production conditions are poor. There are Matan River and shantu River in Jinchuan township. There is one middle school and one primary school in Jinchuan, which popularizes nine-year compulsory education. The pilot work of new rural cooperative medical system started in August 2003. There are 5270 households and 6871 insured in the township, accounting for 71.6% and 62.6% respectively. Jinchuan Township once had direct subordinate and resident units: grain station was set up in 1969 and cancelled in 2001; health center was set up in 1970 and cancelled in 2006; supply and marketing cooperative was set up in 1950s and turned into private contract operation in 1999.
