Under the peak are songlinxi and huanglianyuan, which is an important producing area of Huangshan Coptis.

Songlin peak is located in the West Sea Scenic Area of Huangshan Mountain, with Danxia peak in the northeast and paiyunting nearby. It is one of the 36 peaks with an altitude of 1310 meters. Because the peak waist is covered by pines, there are no miscellaneous trees, do not expose the top, so it is called "pine forest peak".

The Taiping ropeway opened in August 1997 added new scenery to songlinfeng. The cableway is also reciprocating, with a total length of more than 3600 meters and a height difference of more than 700 meters. The carriage capacity is 100 + L, which is the highest in Asia. The lower station is located in songgu'an, and the upper station is located in Songlin peak. Songlin peak, which has few visitors, will become a new scenic spot in Huangshan.

Take the cableway and get off the Taiping cableway. Taiping cableway connecting songlinfeng and songgu'an is 3600 meters long, with a height drop of more than 700 meters, the highest in Asia. Taiping ropeway is 65 yuan / person / time (peak season) and 55 yuan / person / time (off season).
