Xiaolou Lane
Xiaolouxiang is a historical and cultural block located in Chongan District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. It is one of the four historical and cultural blocks in Wuxi City. It extends from east to west to sujianong and Xinsheng Road, and from north to south to Chongning road and Futian lane. It covers an area of about 40000 square meters in the north and south.
This area is the home of two famous families of Wuxi Tan family and Qin family, which began in the Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Since the Song Dynasty, there has been a champion, 13 Jinshi and 15 Juren from here. Nowadays, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Sciences and famous university presidents also come here frequently. It is a famous "talent" place in Wuxi. Most of the existing buildings are from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. In 2002, 25 of them were included in the cultural relics protection units of Jiangsu Province. In addition, at 50 Xiaolou lane, there is the only Qing Dynasty peony among the ancient and famous trees in Wuxi City

In 2008, the key project construction office of Wuxi Chongan district government and Chongan urban investment and Development Co., Ltd. submitted the demolition procedures related to the "restoration and construction of Xiaolouxiang historical and cultural block" project, which was approved by Wuxi Municipal Planning Bureau and Construction Bureau. Then, in the name of protective restoration, the buildings in the area were demolished and transformed, trying to create a slow life experience Block.
