Wusong park is located in the north of Wusong Town, adjacent to Huangpu River in the East, Songbao road in the west, Taihe Road in the south, Minkang road in the north, and the main entrance is at the north end of Songpu road.

history

Wusong Park was planned to be built in 1951. It covers an area of 3333 square meters of open green space beside the Huangpu River. In 1958, green land and Wusong nursery were merged into a seaside park covering an area of 6133 square meters. In 1981, it was expanded and named Wusong park.

Architectural pattern

At the entrance of the park is a wide floor paved with square bluestones. There are willows, Bauhinia, Aspen, Sophora, metasequoia, banana and so on. There are stone benches and wooden chairs in the garden for visitors to rest. The 510 meter riverside corridor overlooks the Wusong scenery.

Related Legends

Wusongkou is connected by land and sea, there are many magical folklore. Legend has it that there was a sacred bell on Wusongkou beach near the park. I don't know where it came from. The clock is very big. It's outside the temple of heaven after heaven. It's half trapped in the sand. When the tide rises, the clock is submerged, and when the tide falls, it comes back again. Zhiwen also said that in the 24th year of Daoguang, one day the sea tide at Wusongkou surged, surging faster than before. The bell was rolled up by the spring tide, weighing about 2000 Jin. It was made of copper with ancient patterns, but no one knew the inscription on it. When the bell arrives at Wusong beach, it will roar in every storm. In 1874, the bronze bell disappeared and was suspected to be buried in the sand. Superstitious people all say that this clock is a divine one. It is spiritual and still goes away with wind, waves and tides. How many generations of Wusong people have passed down this story.
