As a supporting Park of Meichuan community, Meichuan Park was listed as a factual project of Shanghai Municipal People's Government in 1999. It is located in the west of Putuo District, No. 2361, Wuning Road.

Meichuan park is planned by Shanghai Landscape Architecture Design Institute. Putuo District landscape architecture design office undertakes the construction drawing design. Shanghai Lvzhou Garden Construction Co., Ltd. undertakes the construction with a total investment of 7.35 million yuan. The construction of Meichuan Park started in 1999 and was officially opened to the public in December 1999. Now Shanghai Tuoling garden sculpture Engineering Co., Ltd. is responsible for daily maintenance and management.

The park embodies the theme of "people-oriented, green oriented", emphasizes the harmony between man and nature, adopts the method of plant landscaping, and uses more than 50 kinds of plants to form a greening landscape with multi-layer canopy characteristics of arbor as the skeleton and plum as the theme tree species. Among them, the varieties of plum are wintersweet, Huamei, white silk plum, Sorbaria, chuizhimei, chamei, yuyemei, bayberry, hamamelis, etc. In the long strip-shaped park layout, the lawn and Shulin square are the two main recreation spaces. A tree lined trail runs through the whole park and intersperses in the flower border tree flower bed. The unique hexagonal pavilion, sea of flowers and rock carvings are fascinating, and the 200 meter long pebble health trail is the best in the city. Leisure facilities such as newspaper gallery and stone bench are arranged in the park according to the scenery.

Meichuan Park, with its elegant and vigorous modern style, has become an ideal place for leisure and activities, and has played a good role in improving the ecological environment of the west gate of Shanghai and the surrounding landscape of Shanghai Nanjing Expressway.
