Jinchuan town is a town under the jurisdiction of Huinan County, Jilin Province. It is located in the southeast of Huinan County, between 42 ° 15'49 "- 42 ° 26'35" n and 126 ° 15'14 "- 126 ° 31'15" E, adjacent to Longquan town of Jingyu County in the East, dayaishan town and langshao town in the West. Liangshui town of Liuhe County in the south, Fumin town and Shansonggang town in the north, the distance between East and West poles is 24 km, and the distance between North and south poles is 19 km, with a total area of 311.91 square kilometers, 67.5 km from Chaoyang town.

On October 14, 2016, Jinchuan Town, Huinan County, Tonghua City, Jilin Province was identified as the first batch of towns with Chinese characteristics by the Ministry of housing and urban rural development.

The town has a land area of 311.91 square kilometers, 39.195 mu of arable land and 395.772 mu of woodland, including 381.127 mu of forest, 14.645 mu of open woodland, 20.572 mu of grassland, 80 mu of reservoir and dam, 3.351 mu of rivers and lakes and 4.108 mu of swamp. It can be said that there are eight mountains, one water and one field. Jinchuan town governs six villages, namely huangnigang village, Jinchuan village, Longwan village, Tanping village, Lixin village, Yongfeng Village, a total of 28 communities. There are certain reserves of iron ore, sand gold, basalt and other minerals in the territory, with the largest reserves of iron ore. iron ore is distributed in Lixin and Halazi areas and is under exploration. It is rich in forest resources, with a standing stock of 250000 cubic meters and an annual timber harvest of about 20000 cubic meters. Rich in mineral spring reserves, it was named mineral spring base of Jilin Province in 2002. Daquanyan, the drinking water source of the town government, is of the highest quality. It contains 21 kinds of trace elements beneficial to human health, such as lithium. It belongs to metasilicate low sodium mineral water. Yongfeng clamatang and Lixin nanshai mineral water have been developed, and Yongfeng Gushanzi and other mineral springs are being identified. Volcanic slag is a high-quality building material with large reserves. It can be used to make bearing plates, small blocks, clinker free cement, etc. the reserves of volcanic slag in dagushanzi of huangnigang reach 200 million cubic meters. It is rich in peat resources, with a total reserve of about 20 million cubic meters, distributed in Dadianzi and Lixin of Jinchuan. Dadianzi of Jinchuan alone covers an area of 100 hectares, with a reserve of 6 million cubic meters. It can produce fuel, light building materials and compound fertilizer.

Jinchuan town always takes developing economy and improving people's life as its duty, constantly explores new ideas and methods for developing township economy, and vigorously develops the three pillar industries of "mining development, tourism service and mountain area characteristic economy" according to the working idea of "developing resources, doing a good job in circulation, adjusting industries and diversified operation", so as to achieve new breakthroughs in township economy. In 2007, the industrial and agricultural output value of the whole town is expected to reach 223 million yuan, 100% of the assigned tasks, an increase of 20% over the previous year; the fiscal revenue at the same level will reach 3.14 million yuan, an increase of 121% over the previous year, and the full caliber fiscal revenue will exceed 11 million yuan. The per capita income of farmers reached 4265 yuan, an increase of 9% over the previous year, and the investment attraction reached 273 million yuan.

In the process of new rural construction, Jinchuan Town, in contact with Jilin urban and Rural Planning Institute and Jilin Water Conservancy Design Institute, has formulated the overall development plan for 2007-2020 and the long-term and short-term plans for each village. At the same time, it increased capital investment, improved various infrastructure construction, invested 21.1847 million yuan, and completed 23 projects, including the reconstruction project of huangnigang village primary school, the construction of the traffic bridge of the nursing home, the construction of lingbeitun gravel road pavement project, the reinforcement project of Xincun fourth team reservoir, and the power grid reconstruction project.
