Jiulong River

Jiulong River originates from Taitian village, Jianning County, in the southern part of Wuyi Mountains, Fujian Province, and flows into Shaxi through Ninghua, Qingliu, Yong'an and other counties and cities. Jiulong River flows from the northwest and Wenchuan River, the second largest river in Yong'an City, converges in the west of the city like a swallow tail. Jiulongxi River Valley is narrow, with many rapids and abundant water resources. The river is more than 200 kilometers long, with an average annual flow of 160 cubic meters per second and an average annual runoff of 5.04 billion cubic meters. Several hydropower stations have been built. Jiulong River is named after the famous Shiba beach in the middle reaches of Jiulong River.
