Jiuzi Park

Shanghai Jiuzi Park (plot 1 of Huangpu District) is close to Suzhou River in the north, Chengdu North Road in the west, Lane 1050 of Chengdu North Road in the south, and the warehouse of fruit company in the East. It covers an area of 7700 square meters, with a green area of 4778 square meters. The total investment of the district government is 7 million yuan. The whole project started in November 2005 and was completed on January 22, 2006, lasting 77 days.

About the park

In the park, there are nine traditional folk fitness games in Shanghai's old-fashioned lanes in the 1950s and 1960s, which are playing billiards, rolling wheels, whipping knots, topping stones, pulling Tuozi, building houses, jumping tendons, pulling bells and setting circles. The Jiuzi sports ground in the center of the park adopts the modern geometric straight-line composition, connecting the fields of different sizes and shapes through the "theme Jiuzi Avenue", with Jiuzi sculptures standing on both sides of the avenue; considering the different needs of Jiuzi sports, there are hard fields of granite materials and soft fields of plastic floor. Located in the northwest of the park, the main square is equipped with a floor mainly made of plastic materials, which also has the functions of distribution and rest. The wall on the west side of the park uses realistic and abstract artistic techniques, and uses landscape wall, posters and other ways to interpret the Jiuzi movement. The green space plant configuration of the park is mainly arbor planting, and the plant landscaping points are characterized by spring and autumn landscape, taking into account the four seasons.
