Development history

In the 1930s, when Japan was suffering from Japanese invasion, the Japanese built a military airport here, called Jiangwan Airport.

Until the 1990s, although the regime changed several times, the land was always a military restricted zone, surrounded by barbed wire, completely isolated from the outside world.

After more than 60 years of closure, this land has maintained its original ecological appearance, with luxuriant vegetation, crisscross ditches and rich wildlife resources.

In the late 1990s, when the land was transferred to local areas, people were surprised to find that there was such a valuable oasis in the urban area of Shanghai, which was called "Shanghai's green lung".

Large demonstration residential area. The government will make use of the valuable land resources of Jiangwan Airport for planning and investment. Xinjiangwan city wetland park in the northeast corner of Shanghai is the world's largest, most functional, most difficult and the best construction quality permanent extreme sports park.

The park covers an area of 12000 square meters, far more than 9000 square meters of the U.S. extreme sports park. Ecological value after 1986, a large "green lung" in the urban area, Jiangwan has been closed for a long time, resulting in little human disturbance to the biological community, and the species groups are close to the "original ecology". Later, the expert groups of various disciplines of Shanghai Natural History Museum conducted an ecological and species survey of xinjiangwan city. The survey found that in the former Jiangwan Airport, the ecological environment of forest irrigation type, forest type, wetland type and farmland type has come back one after another. There are 36 kinds of birds jumping and flying here, accounting for more than 88% of the summer bird species in Shanghai, which is more than that in Sheshan area. Among them, there are 3 kinds of national class II protected birds, 12 kinds of precious bird species in the Sino Japanese migratory bird protection agreement, and some newly discovered birds in Shanghai In addition, seven species of fish were found in the water body of the three green areas, among which the Cladocera and the striped fish were rare in the urban area, and the snails and the mussel were also extinct in the urban area.

Such a good ecological environment immediately attracted the attention of many experts from East China Normal University, Fudan University and other universities, who pointed out: "this is the only natural ecological" Emerald "in Shanghai!" For its value, Professor Lu Jianjian of East China Normal University once pointed out that maintaining the original ecology and water surface rate is beneficial to improving the price of commercial housing. The existence of a green ecological park not only improves the green coverage rate of Jiangwan area, but also makes the green land have the function of lung and kidney, and can be used as a green land Improve microclimate and form green island effect. All these will make xinjiangwan city more suitable for people to live in, and also increase the value of the surrounding real estate.

Xinjiangwan city wetland park is the world's largest, most functional, most difficult and the best construction quality permanent extreme sports park.
