Xiegong Temple
Xie Gong temple, a famous historic site in Dangtu County, Anhui Province, was built in memory of Xie Tiao, a poet of the Southern Qi Dynasty. It is located at the south foot of Qingshan mountain in Taibai Town, Dangtu County.

A small pool in front of the Xiegong ancestral hall is said to have been chiseled by Xie Tiao. It is also called Xiegong pool, also known as Xiegong well. The water in the pool is warm and cold, and never dried up. There are "thousand year old red scales" in the pool, which is called "Yuanhui ancient well" in history, and is one of the "eight scenes of Gushu". Chang Wuma and Shuangjing came to roam and chant, and built a room in the south of the mountain, which was called Xie gongzhai. Later, he died unjustly in prison, and local people converted his house into a memorial temple. Li Bai went to hang sacrifices many times before he died. Admission: free.
Construction history
Xie Tiao was a representative of Chinese landscape poetry. When he was the prefect of Xuancheng, he loved the scenery of green mountains in Dangtu and praised it as "the city of mountains and rivers". He once traveled and chanted with two or five horses, and built a room in the south of the mountain, which was called Xie Gong's house.
