Beijing ancient coin exhibition hall is located at the foot of deshengmenjianlou, which is 500 years old. Deshengmen archery tower is one of the two archery towers preserved in the inner city of Beijing in Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Introduction to the exhibition hall

The predecessor of the ancient coin exhibition hall is the Jianlou cultural relics depository of Deshengmen. In 1992, it was renamed Beijing Ancient Coin Museum. It is the only special coin museum in North China that has been open to the outside world for a long time. It provides a good place for coin lovers to watch, exchange and trade.

The exhibition hall of ancient coins is divided into three exhibition rooms: the East and West halls display the general history of Chinese coins, from Shang and Zhou Dynasties to the Republic of China. Zhongting is an exhibition of historical facts of Chinese banks, which shows the whole picture of the origin, development and decline of ancient Chinese banks in the form of words, pictures and objects. At the same time, the exhibition also opened a coin shop for coin lovers.

In addition, it also opened the first ancient money trading market recognized by the industrial and commercial department, and held the national coin trade fair here in spring and autumn every year, which has a wide influence in the national coin industry.
