Luo Zhongli art museum is located in the campus of the university town of Sichuan Academy of fine arts. It is one of the three provincial art museums in Chongqing and the largest art museum in area. Construction started in 2012

The overall layout of the building is enclosed, with free combination of volume, flexible and rich space. For today's architects, we are surprised that the architectural works are created by famous artists such as Luo Zhongli and Hao Dapeng. Such personalized architectural works not only bring new vitality to Sichuan Academy of fine arts, but also guide the trend of contemporary Chinese architecture. The museum officially opened on October 14, 2015.

brief introduction

Luo Zhongli art museum is the largest art museum in Chongqing. It is located next to Huxi commune in Chuanmei new campus.

Construction started in 2012 and became a new landmark of the university town in October 2014. According to the relevant person in charge of Sichuan Academy of fine arts, in fact, what you call "luozhongli Art Museum" actually includes the Art Museum of Sichuan Academy of fine arts, the exhibition hall of rent collection Institute and luozhongli Art Museum. The total construction area of the three museums is 23000 square meters, including 13000 square meters of Luo Zhongli Art Museum. On its external wall, Luo Zhongli's paintings are "copied" on the wall.

Outside the art museum, the mottled patterns are more eye-catching. "Before, there were several kinds of design schemes for the external wall of the art museum, including the use of stone, granite and other materials, but they were all rejected." the relevant person in charge of Chuanmei admitted that the red brick type external wall is commonly used in the campus of Chuanmei University Town, and if it is reused, it has no characteristics. Finally, after many times of deliberation, the design team decided to use waste broken tiles as materials to collage color maps.

It is understood that the broken ceramic tiles used for collage of exterior wall patterns are all "waste products" purchased by Chuanmei in various factories. Due to cheap materials, labor and other materials, the cost of the external wall of the whole art gallery is only 90 yuan per square meter. 　

In order to paste the old broken ceramic tiles with artistic patterns, Chuanmei students learned and used them flexibly, and more than 30 students also participated in the construction team.

It is understood that Luo Zhongli art museum will officially open in 2015, and the works of Luo Zhongli at all stages of his creative career will be displayed. In addition, the museum will present some of the works of Chuanmei's grade 77 and 78 artists and the works of Luo Zhongli scholarship winners.
