St. John's Church
In 1825, father Francisco da Silva e Maia founded the Portuguese missionary church at the site of St. John's church. St. John's church was built in 1912 and replaced the old church at that time. The architectural design of St. John's hall is unique, with the appearance of Latin cross and the stained glass windows with exquisite workmanship.

Every year on Good Friday, the Catholic Church in Singapore holds a procession within the church to commemorate the suffering of Jesus.
St. John's church was designated as a protected building in 1993.
