Li canal culture corridor, located in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, is a national AAAA scenic spot.

The scenic area includes two heritage sites (Qingkou hub and Qingjiang sluice) and one Heritage River (Huai'an section of Huaiyang canal), the world cultural heritage of China Grand Canal.

The scenic area is divided into four parts, namely "Qi", "Cheng", "Zhuan" and "he". It integrates the functions of high-end forum, cultural tourism, ecological health preservation, business leisure and characteristic theme park. At present, qingjiangpu section of the scenic spot has been completed and opened, and other major plates are under construction. It is expected to be fully completed and opened in 2017.

The Liyunhe cultural corridor starts from dazhakou in the north and ends at Tangzi Lane in the south, covering a total area of 45 square kilometers. The core area is 15.6 kilometers long, covering an area of about 10.8 square kilometers. There are hundreds of large and small projects, with a total investment of 26 billion yuan.

Basic introduction

With a total length of 32 kilometers, the Li canal has beautiful scenery and numerous cultural attractions along the coast. There are more than 100 national, provincial and municipal cultural relics protection units, which carry the canal culture of Huai'an for thousands of years and witness the prosperity of Huai'an water transport culture in the past. It is the mother river and cultural river of Huai'an people.

At the beginning of 2013, Huai'an Municipal Party committee and government began to invest in the construction of Liyunhe cultural corridor. First of all, they started the planning and construction of Liyunhe cultural corridor (East Section) from the gate to Tangzi lane, with a total length of 15.6 km and an area of 10.8 square kilometers, which is divided into "Qi", "Cheng", "Zhuan" and "he".

In March 2014, the Liyunhe cultural corridor officially became a national AAAA tourist attraction.

At present, qingjiangpu section of the scenic spot has been completed and opened, and other major plates are under construction. It is expected to be fully completed and opened in 2017.

Canal capital of China

Huai'an City in Jiangsu Province is known as "the capital of China's canals". In 486 BC, Hangou, the first section of the Grand Canal in China, was excavated to connect the Yangtze River and Huaihe River. Huai'an, located at the north end of Hangou, was born with the canal, and it has been more than 2500 years.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the governors of water transport and river were stationed in Huai'an one after another. World Cultural Heritage

In 2014, the Grand Canal of China was officially listed in the world cultural heritage list. Huai'an, as one of the important nodes of the Grand Canal's application for world heritage, has two heritage areas (Qingkou hub, governor of water transport site), one section of the river (Huai'an section of Huaiyang canal), and five heritage sites (Qingkou hub, Shuangjin sluice, Qingjiang sluice, Hongze Lake levee, governor of water transport office site).
