Yuzi Paradise Art Park, a new scenic spot opened in 1998, is located near dabuxu, Dabu Township, Yanshan District, Guilin city. Here, surrounded by peaks, green pines, grassland and streams, sculptures stand between the beautiful mountains and green grass. The founder, Cao Rizhang, is the president of Taiwan's Jinbaoshan group. He intends to invest US $70 million in five years to organize international artists to create works. He plans to "gather the essence and create eternity". He will select more than 300 pieces of fine works to be displayed in the form of realism and decoration, concreteness and abstraction. By the end of 2000, 64 works had been created. The Art Park covers an area of 1.3 square kilometers. The plastic materials are mainly granite, marble and metal. It contains a variety of international styles and schools. Most of the sculptures are between 10 cubic meters and 100 cubic meters. The author is a sculptor from Chinese mainland, Taiwan and France, England, Japan, Italy, Australia, Germany, the United States, Israel, Yugoslavia and other countries and regions. More than 10 buildings will be built, including gate square, sculpture garden, art museum, mural palace, art cave kiln, international conference hall and art resort. The project is magnificent and costly, and it is listed as a key tourism construction project in Guangxi, and is now under development.
