The gate of nandasi temple is built on a nine level platform. There are stone lions' gatehouses. There are side gates on the left and right, and Shangma stone in front of the gate. The door lintel is inlaid with brick carving of "halal Temple". The main building is the top structure of Baoxia Tiaoji hall. The main hall covers an area of 1300 square meters, and the opposite is the hall. The four walls of the hall are decorated with brick and wood carvings, and inside and outside are hung with scriptures, Chinese plaques and couplets. The opposite door is of brick and wood structure. It is three rooms wide and one room deep. The green tile is hard on the top of the mountain. The front and back eaves are connected to the rolling shed Gallery building. Another north and south by the room, ear room, wing room, three corridors connected. On both sides of the shop, there are eight lofts and gourd pavilions. The buildings are painted with red paint and geometric figures of flowers. The whole building has Arabic Islamic color.

Hongqiao District is an area where the Hui nationality, the minority nationality, live in a concentrated area in Tianjin. Built in 1882, the South mosque is one of the mosques with earlier construction and larger scale in Tianjin. The whole building not only has the characteristics of northern architecture in Ming and Qing Dynasties, but also has a strong color of Arab Islam. There are plaques in the temple during the reign of Daoguang, Tongzhi, Guangxu and Xuantong. The brick and wood carvings, scriptures, Chinese plaques and couplets on the four walls of the hall are of high value.
