South snake out of the cave

One of the eight sceneries in Huangyao is the South snake coming out of the cave, which is one of the representative scenic spots of Huangyao ancient town. It is located in Xinxing street of the ancient town. A big stone comes out against the wall, and it looks like a python coming out of the cave, which is called "South snake coming out of the cave".

Development history

The local old man said that someone tried to destroy the snake and built the house on its head. The next year, the house collapsed. Local people believe that all things in nature have souls and emotions, so we should let nature go and not destroy it. This stone and turtle stone face each other across the river, just at the foot of Zhenwu mountain. It is said that Zhenwu emperor stepped on the South snake on the left and the turtle on the right.
