Shengou water source ecological park

Shengou water source ecological park is located in Yuanshan Road, Yuanshan Township, Ilan County, Taiwan. It supplies water for people's livelihood in Xibei area of Ilan County (north of Lanyang River).

Due to abundant water, Shengou area was established as the water source area of Ilan tap water in 1931. After the restoration in 1945, the government expanded the water purification plant one after another. The park managed with great care to maintain a balanced symbiosis with nature, protect the ecological environment with rich species and water purification facilities with historical significance. Since 2003, the "blue and green" plan has been promoted, and the environmental quality has been continuously improved, A water source ecological museum centered on "water" and "native wetland plants" will be established, and an industry university cooperation agreement will be signed with Ilan University in 2111 to develop environmental education sites. Shengou water source ecological park covers an area of 23 hectares, which is the largest water source area in Taiwan at present. The park has only 2 hectares of artificial equipment, a large area of original conservation forests, pools and waterways, which have not been artificially damaged so far. The "blue" of pools, waterways and springs, and the "green" of grassland and trees are the biggest features of the park. In addition, in addition to rich and diverse natural resources and clear and sweet water quality, the park has built a water culture and history museum to display and preserve the old cultural relics of the waterworks era, and to show the evolution and historical development of water supply in Ilan.
