Gongguan Township

Gongguan township is a township of Miaoli County in Taiwan, located in the middle of Miaoli County. The climate is subtropical, mild and rainy, and the annual average humidity is about 80%. Gongguan township is the only important production town of Taiwan jujube, known as the nickname of Taiwan jujube kingdom.

In terms of energy development, Gongguan Township developed "the first oil well in Asia" in the Qing Dynasty, which has a history of 100 years.

Gongguan township is located in the north of Xunyang County, 88 kilometers away from the county highway mileage. Before 1984, it was under the jurisdiction of Luohe and the commune. In October 1996, the Township Institutional Reform merged Luojia Township and Gongguan Township into Gongguan township. At present, the township borders Red Army Township in the East, Zhangping Township in the south, Xiaohe Town in the West and Yaozhuang Township in Zhen'an County in the north, covering an area of about 75 square kilometers. The township government is located in gaoqiaowan village on the North Bank of the upper reaches of Gongguan river. It gets its name from Gongguan River, which has the longest flow area in the territory, "Gongguan township".

Gongguan township is located in Miaoli County, along the southeast of Miaoli City, the county is slightly west of the center, between bajiaodong mountains and Houlongxi.
