Jiuzhou tower was built in 1109 A.D. in the third year of Daguan in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is located in Yibin, Sichuan Province. The foot of the tower is 7.35 meters long from north to south, 7.4 meters wide from east to west, and 29.5 meters high. The foundation of the tower is made of bricks, and the bricks are bonded with soil.

In 1109 ad, it was located in the southwest corner of the ancient city of Rongzhou in the Tang and Song dynasties. After being attacked by wind and rain, it was seriously damaged. In 1979, Sichuan Cultural Bureau appropriated funds for maintenance (abstract from the inscription in front of the tower). This tower was built in Jiuzhou of Yibin during the Northern Song Dynasty. It's been many years. There are three towers in Yibin, one is Jiuzhou tower. 2： White tower. 3： Black tower. It is said that there is a dazzling gem on the top of each of the three towers. At night, standing on Cuiping mountain, you can see the dazzling light of the gem at the same time.

It is said that when the Qing Dynasty perished, the gem disappeared.

Yibin old state tower, also known as the old state white tower. The tower is a square brick tower with 13 levels of dense eaves, which is in the style of Indo Burmese tower. The murals in the tower have a strong religious color. From the perspective of construction techniques, they have the legacy of ancient local architecture. In 1941, Liang Sicheng, Mo Zongjiang, Liu Dunzhen and other ancient architecture experts inspected and identified it as the architecture of Song Dynasty. The tower is more than 900 years ago. Although it has gone through countless wars, it is well preserved. It stands majestically on the Bank of the Minjiang River. When the sun goes down in the west, the golden waves are shining and thousands of birds return to the forest. It is full of ancient flavor. "Sunset in the old state" has become a scene in Yibin. What's more surprising is that there is no stone foundation for the tower, which is built directly from the congealed pebbles with bricks.
