Harlow Township

Halou township is located on the mountainside of gouewapu in Meigu County, Sichuan Province, although it is only 30 kilometers away from the county. There are 4 villages, 24 villager groups, 564 peasant households, and all 4 villages in the township are connected with electricity, roads and water. It is a remote mountainous area with inconvenient transportation.

Basic introduction

The township is located in the mountains, green mountains and waters, picturesque scenery, fresh air, but the lack of roads, water and electricity is the biggest obstacle to the local economic development. The per capita grain of the township is 623 kg, and the per capita net income is 607 yuan. The average annual income of the farmers living in the village at the foot of ewapu mountain is less than 300 yuan, and the per capita grain is less than 500 kg. Many farmers have moved to Shandong, Henan, Xichang, niuniuba, Xinqiao and other places because of their low income and lack of food. There are only 7 households left in the three groups of e village. At present, there are four schools (one central school and three village primary schools) in halou township. The Township Central School is located at an altitude of about 2750 meters. The three village primary schools are distributed in uneven higher mountainous areas. There are 137 students and 8 teachers in the township (including the Township Central School and three village primary schools). There are 260 school-age children in the township, of whom only 137 are actually in school.

administrative division

On January 12, 2021, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish halou Township and put its administrative region under the jurisdiction of Dianbu Township, which is located at No. 4, group 1, Dianbu village.
