[the first ancient stone bridge in northern Guizhou], the Gongguan bridge known as "the first bridge in the South".
Gongguan bridge is located on the chiweixi river at the junction of Suiyang and Zheng'an counties. It is located in Shuanghe Karst Cave National Geopark. It was built in the late Qing Dynasty (about 1906). Because the bridge was built on the ancient post road from Guizhou to Sichuan, there were many merchants on the street of Gongping village at that time, and there were residence houses for past merchants, so the "Gongguan bridge" got its name. In addition, because the bridge is jointly built and managed by Zheng'an and Suiyang counties, it is also called "public management bridge". Local villagers have always regarded the "Gongguan bridge" as a bridge of peace, harmony and happiness.
