Wuzhen Grand Theater

--Wuzhen Grand Theater is located in the West Gate Scenic Area of Wuzhen. A cup of tea and a small fan are enough to make a morning in the theater.

--At present, many functions have been replaced by the newly completed Wuzhen Grand Theater, but the indispensable cultural heritage of Wuzhen, Suzhou Pingtan and open-air movies, is still preserved.

Wuzhen Grand Theater

Wuzhen Grand Theater is composed of two ellipses of different sizes. It is built with the concept of "bingdilian", implying auspiciousness and festivity. The main stage is rectangular and consists of three lifting plates, with a rotating stage in the middle. The audience seat directly opposite the stage can hold 1200 people. It is divided into upper, middle and lower layers in a ladder shape. No matter where you sit, the audience's sight will not be obstructed.

In addition, the multi-function hall on the back of the stage, which can accommodate about 200 people, is unique in design. It can be used independently and can also be connected with the main theater. The theater of Wuzhen Grand Theater is a large-scale social and cultural facility integrating drama, concert performance, exhibition, cultural and artistic exchange, as well as an auxiliary function for rehearsal, conference, research and other cultural activities. All the equipment can be rated as international standard. Wuzhen Drama Festival has invested 500 million yuan to build seven performance venues with Wuzhen Grand Theater as the main venue, national music theater, Shenjia theater, xiushuilang theater, bengwan theater, Riyue theater and shuitheater as the auxiliary venues, and equipped with advanced performance equipment to ensure that every audience can enjoy the perfect art.
