Hengfeng Road Bridge

Hengfeng Road Bridge, one end is Shimen Second Road, one end is Hengfeng Road. It was newly built in 1987. It is the first bridge constructed by cantilever casting method on Suzhou River. It is also a successful example of applying prestressed connection box girder structure in large-scale bridge construction in Shanghai. Through computer precise control, the two ends are built first and then the middle is closed.

Hengfeng Road Bridge

There are many bridges on Suzhou River. Hengfeng Road Bridge, as one of them, was not built in the earliest time, and its architectural structure is not the most distinctive. However, its existence is a memorial and a monument - the first structure built in the process of resisting the erosion of concession and building roads across the border in Zhabei, following the Western municipal management mode.

Named after Hengfeng Road. It is 570 meters long and 29.6 meters wide, of which the roadway is 23 meters wide.

Hengfenglu Qiao is located on the Suzhou River in the urban area of Shanghai, connecting Shimen 2nd Road in the South and Hengfeng Road in the north. Qing Guangxu 29 years (1903) initially built for the wood truss structure, known as Huitong bridge, commonly known as the new bridge. Because the south bank bridge side has the sampan factory, also known as the sampan factory bridge. At that time, the south of the bridge was Maigen Road, also known as Maigen road bridge. It was demolished in 1914 and rebuilt in 1916. In September of the 16th year of the Republic of China, it was rebuilt and named Hengfeng bridge. During the Anti Japanese War, it was demolished by the Japanese puppets. During the 37 years of the Republic of China, it was rebuilt. Maigen road in the south of the bridge was renamed Huai'an Road, commonly known as Huai'an road bridge. In 1987, Jinqiao was built on its east side. Named after Hengfeng Road. It is 570 meters long and 29.6 meters wide, of which the roadway is 23 meters wide. Multiple buses pass through.
