The former site of the Hubei Henan Anhui District Committee of the Communist Party of China is located in the old house of the Wang family in Baishuihe village, Huashi Township, Jinzhai County. It was originally the old house of the local Wang family and is a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.

historical background

In June 1938, the Anhui Provincial Working Committee of the Communist Party of China moved here from Taoling to the New Fourth Army military station. Peng Kang, Secretary of the committee, organized the work of three central county committees, namely Lu'an, Shouxian and Taihu, and Shuwu special committee. In February 1939, the working committee of Anhui Province of the Communist Party of China was abolished, and Zheng Weisan, Secretary of the Hubei Henan Anhui Border Region Committee of the Communist Party of China, was established. Peng Kang, Zhang Jinfu, He Wei, Fang Yi, Zhang tixue, Li Fengping, GUI Peng, Huang Yan, Zheng Weixiao, Cheng Tan and other members of the committee were members. The district Party committee was stationed here and subordinate to the Central Plains Bureau. From 1939 to 1940, he led the Anti Japanese movement in the border region of Hubei, Henan and Anhui. In July 1939, Ye Ting, commander of the New Fourth Army, and Zhang Yunyi, chief of staff, came to Lihuang for inspection work.

Cultural relics

The former site of the Hubei Henan Anhui District Committee of the Communist Party of China was originally an old house with the surname Wang. It was built in the late Qing Dynasty. It was built in a small tile structure with green bricks and more than 50 rooms. There are nine existing gatehouses and halls.
