Gongshan tea, produced in dagongshan, is sweet and fragrant, and its quality can be compared with Biluochun. There are two small islands in Taihu Lake near Mashan village. The big one is called Dagong mountain, and the small one is called Xiaogong mountain. In the past, there were folklores. It is probably said that Dagong mountain was originally the embodiment of tortoise, while Xiaogong mountain is the embodiment of dragon, but the story is gradually forgotten.

Today, Dagong mountain is rich in tea, which is called gongcha. Around the Qingming Festival, the tea farmers on the island were busy, collecting tea constantly and making tea elaborately. Gongshan tea is full of fragrance, especially the third and fourth teas. It is said that it is the royal tea of government departments, and now it is also the favorite of tea lovers.

Dagongshan carefully developed and planted fruits, especially yellow peach. The fruit is crisp and sweet with sufficient light. It can be harvested in early July in summer.

With the development of Suzhou high tech Zone and the comprehensive development of the west of Suzhou, xiaogongshan has the capacity of reception. A bridge has been built between Dagong mountain and Xiaogong mountain, and the road around Taihu Lake is getting longer and longer.
