Yuehai Park

Yuehai park is located in the south of Weihai Park, across the sea from Liugong Island. It is Peninsula like, 1.3km long from north to south, 150m wide from east to west, covering an area of 15.40 hectares and 88400 square meters of green area.

Introduction to scenic spots

The theme of Yuehai park is leisure, fitness and homeland. From north to south, it is divided into four scenic spots: leisure sports, central square, popular science recreation area and marine recreation area.

Leisure sports area

The leisure and sports area is located in the northernmost side of the park, with logic paradise, entertainment space, leisure square, etc.

Central Plaza

There is a 49 meter high sightseeing lighthouse in the central square, which is the landmark of the park. The most eye-catching buildings in the square are seagrass houses with different shapes. This kind of house covered with seagrass is the traditional residence of Weihai fishermen. It is warm in winter and cool in summer, and it is not rotten for a hundred years. Together with green trees, lawns and stone roads, they create an elegant and fresh warm atmosphere.

Popular science recreation area

The popular science recreation area focuses on increasing popular science knowledge and participating in interesting activities, showing tidal phenomena, biological evolution process, demonstration of the earth and moon operation, etc., with lively forms of education and entertainment.

Marine recreation area

The marine recreation area is located at the southernmost end of the park and has a bird watching platform. You can enjoy the harmonious scene of yachts, sailboats and seabirds dancing together.
